Hey CelebSecrets4U readers,

We were invited to a special screening of Thor: The Dark World! We headed out to Arclight Theaters in Los Angeles to breakdown Marvel’s latest film.

“Some believe that before the universe, there was nothing. They’re wrong. There was darkness… and it has survived.”

Thor: The Dark World is the newest action and adventure packed film from Marvel Studios continuing the adventures of the Might Avenger, Thor. The last time we saw Thor, he was an arrogant future king, who was banished and was sent to live among humans in the modern world.

This time Thor faces new adventures as he battles to save Earth and all the Nine Realms from a shadowy enemy that predates the universe itself. Malekith the (Christopher Eccleston), the leader of the Elves, is waging an intergalactic war that threatens the earth human Jane (Natalie Portman), whom Thor (Chris Hemsworth), the king’s son, still adores.

Meanwhile, Thor’s traitorous brother, Loki (scene-stealing Tom Hiddleston) plots his revenge and he is still up to no good and lusting after the throne, even though he’s locked away in a dungeon, while Thor and his partners travel around the universe trying to undo the damage Loki has done.

In the aftermath of Marvel’s “Thor” and “Marvel’s The Avengers,” Thor fights to restore order across the cosmos, but an ancient race led by the vengeful Malekith returns to plunge the universe back into darkness. To defeat an enemy that even Odin (Anthony Hopkins) and Asgard cannot withstand, Thor sets upon his most dangerous and personal journey yet, forced into an alliance with the treacherous Loki to save not only his people and those he loves, but the universe itself.

The film was filled with much action, adventure, but the movie also has much sense of humor, delivered by supporting players Kat Dennings, Stellan Sarsgard, and Chris O’Dowd (known as Jane’s intern and colleague) while Idris Elba as the guardian of Asgard and Rene Russo as Thor’s mother stay on the serious side.

The actors in this film gave an outstanding performance, which made this movie even better, along with an ending sure to please fans everywhere and make you gasp.  Be sure to look out for a pair of surprise cameos that everyone will seem to enjoy.
