5 Easy Thanksgiving Snacks To Make Before The Feast! #Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving is a time for family fun and amazing food. The kids are all hanging out with their cousins that they hardly get to see and everyone else is shouting at the television screens as if their favorite football team can hear them.

It all seems like a good time, but those hours before the grand feast can make your guests a little impatient. So to hold them down for a few more hours, I compiled a list of my 5 favorite snacks that are easy to whip up are sure to keep everyone far, far away from your kitchen.

 1) Chocolate and Peanut Butter Acorns

Chocolate and Peanut Butter is possibly the best combo ever! This simply delicious snack is sure to please everyone whether they have a sweet-tooth or not.

Ingredients: 1 bag of mini chocolate chips, 1 bag of Hershey’s Kisses, 1 package of NutterButters (if a family member has a peanut allergy, you can substitute the NutterButter for a Ritz Bitz)

STEP 1: Melt 1/2 bag of mini chocolate chips until melted completely. Stir between every 5 second interval to keep the chocolate from seizing.

STEP 2: Dip the flat end of a Hershey’s Kiss into the melted chocolate and top it off with a bite-size NutterButter/Ritz Bitz cracker.

STEP 3: Dip the flat end of a mini chocolate chip into the melted chocolate and stick it to the NutterButter/Ritz Bitz cracker.

 2) Pilgrim Hat Cookies

These cute snacks taste absolutely scrumptious and are totally budget friendly so you can still go crazy on your Black Friday prowl.

Ingredients: 1 cup of vanilla frosting, 7 drops of yellow food coloring, 32 mini peanut butter cups, 1 package of fudge-striped cookies, 32 pieces of mini orange Chiclets gum

STEP 1: In a small bowl, combine frosting and food coloring.

STEP 2: Remove liners from the peanut butter cups.

STEP 3: Holding the bottom of the peanut butter cup, dip the top part in the yellow frosting. Position over the center hole of the bottom of the cookie (forming the hat band and crown).

STEP 4: Add the Chiclet gum as the buckle.

 3) Chocolate-covered Pretzels

This yummy and simple treat will have your guests wanting more. Luckily, there will be enough to go around since they’re so easy to make!

Ingredients: melting chocolate, pretzel rods, orange and yellow sprinkles

STEP 1: Melt the chocolate in the microwave. Stir occasionally.

STEP 2: Dip the pretzel rod into the melted chocolate.

STEP 3: Mix the yellow and orange sprinkles on a wide plate. Roll the chocolate-covered pretzel over the sprinkles.

4) Mayflower Munch Mix

Who knew something so easy could taste so good?

Ingredients: 1 bag Chex Mix, 1 bag of cranberries, 1 bag of M&Ms, 1 bag of candy corn

STEP 1: Mix all ingredients into one bowl thoroughly and then it’s ready to serve!

 5) Fruity Cornucopia

This healthy and yummy snack is simple to create and requires NO utensils which means less dishes for you!

Ingredients: 3-5 packages of Sugar waffle cones, fruits/berries of your choice (strawberries, blackberries, grapes)

STEP 1: Thoroughly wash and prep the fruit.

STEP 2: Let them dry completely.

STEP 3: Mix the berries together and pour them into the waffle cones.
