With only a few hours until showtime, CS4U is giving you a breakdown on what you can expect from music’s most unexpected night hosted by Miley Cyrus.
Today, we are sharing our top five reasons as to why you should tune in to the big show! Who or what are you most excited to see tonight? Make sure to sound off in the comments below.
Since the first MTV Video Music Awards aired in 1984, the VMAs instantly earned its reputation for delivering the most popular bands and artists to create the loudest, most influential and at times, the most controversial, annual live celebration of music in the world. No other award show has been responsible for creating more memorable or bigger musical moments in pop culture history than the MTV Video Music Awards. From Madonna, Michael Jackson, Guns N’ Roses and Nirvana to Britney Spears, Taylor Swift, Beyoncé, JAY Z, Kanye West and Miley Cyrus, an appearance on the VMA stage can forever change the trajectory of an artist’s career in one single night.
The 2015 MTV Video Music Awards airs Sunday, August 30th @ 9:00 PM ET/PT on MTV.
The top five reasons why you should watch the 2015 MTV Video Music Awards are…
Red Carpet Fashion
The VMAs, better known as music’s “most unexpected night,” brings not only crazy performances, but also crazy fashion! This year’s guest list is probably one of the better ones we’ve seen in awhile, so we can’t wait to see what people will be arriving in before they take their seats at the Microsoft Theater. Maybe someone will recreate Lady Gaga’s meat dress from 2010?

Taylor Swift’s “Wildest Dreams” Music Video Debut
Taylor Swift is taking the spotlight away from Nick Jonas this year with the world premiere of the music video for her new single “Wildest Dreams.” Nick Jonas will also be debuting his new single “Levels” to fans in the audience and viewers at home, but let’s face it… we’re all waiting to see Taylor’s track come to life and how sexy Scott Eastwood is going to look in this video.
Kayne West’s Video Vanguard Award Performance
Kayne West will be making history tonight when he receives the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award at the 2015 VMAs! For someone who’s created some of the most memorable and spectacular moments in MTV VMAs history, there’s no doubt why Yeezus was selected, and we can’t. Freakin’. WAIT!
Do we need to say anymore? Miley Cyrus has been known for causing a raucous at the VMAs ever since her performance with Robin Thicke in 2013. Miley is ready to make VMA history once again by hosting the show for the first time-ever. From her outfits to her tongue, we can’t wait to see what Miley has in store for us tonight!
Have you seen that lineup of performers this year? The Weeknd is performing “Cant’ Feel My Face” for the first time LIVE on national television, Demi Lovato is letting us know she’s here to stay with an epic performance of “Cool For the Summer,” Justin Bieber and Macklemore and Ryan Lewis are making their triumphant returns to the music industry with the debut of their new singles and Tori Kelly is hitting the VMA stage for the first time ever. Nicki Minaj will be for sure turning heads with her performance, and Twenty One Pilots will blow our minds with a one-of-a-kind performance with A$AP Rocky. If that’s not all, Pharrell is also slated to take the stage along with Video Vanguard Award winner Kayne West. OH. MY. GOD.
