Happy Monday, readers!

Jordi Whitworth is bona fide triple threat musician, actor, and model positioned to take the entertainment industry by storm.

The 21-year-old is best known for his previous role in Overload, the British boy band and finalists on The X Factor in 2014. After nearly two years as part of the band, Jordi is set to begin the next chapter in his career as a solo artist with the release of his debut single, “Mambo.”

Celeb Secrets caught up with Whitworth recently to talk about what its like being a solo artist. He even talked about his upcoming single “Mambo,” his favorite tattoo, and his new reality show — make sure to read the full Q&A below!

Keep up with Jordi by following him on Twitter at @JordiWhitworth. Jordi’s British fans can hear his solo music for the first time ever LIVE at O2 Academy Islington 7th of November in London. You can purchase tickets here.

Celeb Secrets: What can fans expect from your upcoming single “Mambo”?

Jordi Whitworth: ““Mambo” has a very pop and r&b edge to it with some inspiration from Dean Martin.”

Celeb Secrets: Do you still keep in contact with the other members of Overload

Jordi Whitworth: “I keep in contact with them at times but we all are doing our own thing now. We are still all friends!”

Celeb Secrets: How different is it being a solo act versus when you were in a group?

Jordi Whitworth: “Obviously it’s more difficult being the only one on stage but I also prefer to be solo because everything is now coming from me!”

Celeb Secrets: Are you planning to release an EP anytime soon?

Jordi Whitworth: “My EP is set to release after my launch party which I cannot wait for everyone to hear.”

Celeb Secrets: Out of all your tattoos, which is your absolute favorite and why?

Jordi Whitworth: “I think my favorite tattoo is the one on my top back which is angel wings with “45″ in the middle.  The angel wings is a symbol which is close to me and my family and the 45 is the number that I grew up racing motocross with.”

Celeb Secrets: Where do you see yourself 5 years from now?

Jordi Whitworth: “In five years, I want to be settled in the career that I have dreamt of for so long with people around me who respect me for me.  I also hope to be inspiring people all around the world.”

Celeb Secrets: Are you currently working on any other projects?

Jordi Whitworth: “Currently I am working on a new reality TV show that is based around music and dance.  It starts to air in September on E4.”

Celeb Secrets: Since we are Celeb Secrets, do you have a secret or fun fact about yourself that you’d like to share with our readers?

Jordi Whitworth: “It’s not a very fun fact but I’m quite a superstitious character and would probably scare some people if they knew how weird I am ha!”
