We are so excited for the season two premiere of Amazon’s original series Annedroids this week!
With only one day ’till the premiere, CS4U is giving you the breakdown on what you can expect from the show straight from Anne herself, Addison Holley.
If you aren’t familiar with the series already, Annedroids is a live-action adventure series about Anne, a young female scientist, her human friends and the android assistants she’s created, and the amazing scientific discoveries they make while undertaking the biggest experiment of them all: growing up. The series spotlights, through trial and error, how science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) can inspire children to do great things.
The second season finds Anne (Addison Holley) and friends back in the junkyard for more experiments, taking their adventures to the next level. As Nick (Jadiel Dowlin) and Shania (Adrianna Di Liello) return to school after spending their summer in the junkyard, Anne finds new ways to stay in touch using Pidgely, a pigeon with a broken wing she equips with a rocket suit. Pal (voiced by Millie Davis) ventures outside the junkyard and expresses a desire to be a real kid.
Also this season, a mysterious robotics scientist offers Anne the opportunity of a lifetime, forcing Anne to make some tough decisions about her friends, family and future. Along the way, the kids use DNA to track a lost dog, confront dinosaurs in nightmares, and send the androids to space.
CelebSecrets4U caught up with Addison recently to chat about the second season of Annedroids! In our interview, the actress told us what we can expect from Anne in season two, if she enjoys science off camera, her favorite memory from filming with her cast members, and what she would make her robot do for her if she had one of her own! She even told us why YOU should watch season two of Annedroids on Amazon and a super cool hidden talent of hers that you may not have known about her — make sure to read the Q&A below!
Season 2 of Annedroids will be available for stream on Amazon Prime beginning tomorrow, July 2nd, 2015.
Addison Holley: “I think this episode is going to be filled with a lot more adventure! There’s gonna be a lot more experiments in science and Anne expierences a lot more adventure!”
CS4U: You play Anne on the series — what will we see from Anne in upcoming episodes?
Addison Holley: “Anne is a socially awkward, yet wise and young girl who is obviously smart because she is a genius. The viewers are going to see that Anne doesn’t feel the need to be like everyone else. She dresses differently — she will just throw her hair up no matter how she is feeling, and the viewers will hopefully learn the message that having a perfect wardrobe or perfect hair isn’t necessary.”
CS4U: Annedroids incorporates science and technology throughout the series — do you personally like science?
Addison Holley: “I actually do like science! This year (I’m in tenth grade — I actually skipped a grade!) we did a lot of science-oriented classes like chemistry and biology. I really enjoy those classes!”
CS4U: Anne creates a lot of experiments throughout the show including robots — if you could create your own robot, what would you want it to do?
Addison Holley: “I would want my robot to clean my room in the morning, make my bed and maybe make me food too!”
CS4U: What’s it like filming with the cast? Do you have a favorite memory you can share with us?
Addison Holley: “I loved working with my cast on Annedroids! I became really close with Adrianna Di Liello and Jadiel Dowlin who play the Shania and Nick (respectively). We always had so much fun on set — we would sing songs and make up dances to them when we weren’t filming! On an episode coming up (I can’t tell you which), we go on a camping trip and we had so much fun filming that because that’s where we really bonded. It was such a great experience.”
CS4U: Why do you think our readers should watch Annedroids?
Addison Holley: “I think everyone should watch Annedroids because no matter what age you are, I think it has such a great message.Whether you are a boy or a girl, love or hate science, or love creating things, you should do what you want to do and not worry about what other people are thinking or doing. You should always go for what your passionate about and not what everyone else is doing.”
CS4U: Since our website is called CelebSecrets4U, do you have a secret or hidden talent that you can share about yourself to our readers?
Addison Holley: “Wow! I have a trampoline, so I’d say I love to do tricks and backflip!”
