Adriana Lima is headed to Lifetime tonight for a very special project and Celeb Secrets is giving you the lowdown on what to expect from it!
The 36-year-old super model is adding host and executive producer to her stellar resume in just a few hours with the world premiere of the network’s new competition series American Beauty Star.Â
In ABS, twelve hair or make up mavens must become ‘beauty directors,’ responsible for creating the overall look of their models. Paired with a teammate who is a master of the opposite craft, together they will compete in a series of beauty challenges each week, from creating high-end editorial looks to the most current glam creations for red carpets and runway shows.
Mentored by celebrity makeup artist Sir John and judged by award-winning writer and Vogue’s former Beauty Director Sarah Brown and world renowned photographer Russell James, only the contestant who proves they have what it takes to revolutionize what’s to come in beauty will be named American Beauty Star at the end of the season.
In addition to Lima Sir John, Brown, and Jones, tons of beauty and fashion’s finest will make appearances throughout the season as panelists, including YouTube beauty sensation Michelle Phan; models Behati Prinsloo, Christie Brinkley and Camilla Alves; make-up bloggers and beauty influencers The Kattan Sisters Huda and Mona; singer Michelle Williams, Editor-in-Chief of Teen Vogue Elaine Welteroth and Empire actress Ta’Rhonda Jones.
Earlier this week, we got an exclusive sneak preview of the series with Lima, John, Brown, and Jones, and we can’t wait for you to see it. Every judge, producer, and contestant really put their heart and soul into this series and its super evident not only on-camera, but also when they talk about the project. Plus, who doesn’t love a show on beauty! We’re almost positive we’ll be using versions of all of these looks in our own personal beauty routine.
