Today is a very special day for Aidan Alexander!
The 16-year-old released his first-ever cover video, and it’s “Twinkle Song” by Miley Cyrus.
“I’ve always been a fan of a ton of different artists and their music,” Alexander says in response to why he wanted to make the video. “I’ve been singing songs I like forever, even if it’s just learning it on the piano and singing it by myself. I’m really excited for people to finally hear something!”
There is a special reason why “Twinkle Song” is the first cover to be released, and we were able to get the scoop straight from the rising star on why he chose it. “I love this record. It’s so simple and beautiful and vulnerable and does such a good job of encompassing the raw emotion of missing someone,” Aidan shares.
While Aidan does not have plans to release original music in the coming months, the young Hollywood actor hopes to put out material for his fans one day and would love to collaborate with many artists across different genres. “I definitely would consider releasing an EP one day,” the 16-year-old shares. “I would love to work with The Chainsmokers or Disclosure or Flume or Lil Yachty!”
When you watch “Twinkle Song” below, you may not know this one hidden secret when Aidan was filming. “I fell out of that stool like 9 times. There had to have been a screw missing. It was so wobbly, and the whole time I had to keep myself from tipping,” he laughs.
“Twinkle Song” is the first of many covers Aidan has planned for his upcoming content, be sure to stay tuned to all of his social channels for more!
