Aleem Talks New EP ‘Open Letters’ – Watch the Video

Aleem‘s new EP is finally here!

The LA-based singer/songwriter released his Open Letters EP today, November 11th, and it’s definitely one of those records that should be on your “New Music Friday” playlists.

This release follows his live performances alongside multi-platinum pop group Fifth Harmony on their 7/27 European tour, which hit 18 world famous venues such as the O2 Arena in London.

For this collection of songs, Aleem teamed up with producers Ryan Stewart (Carly Rae Jepsen, Owl City) and Jon Levine (Selena Gomez, Cher Lloyd). Aleem co-wrote all of the songs as well as working with acclaimed songwriters Scott Harris (Shawn Mendes, Jessie J) and Anjulie (Lady Gaga, Nicki Minaj). It features his catchy tune “Find Out,” along with other songs that go in to his personal life.

“For this album I really wanted to let my guard down and let people into my life, and tell stories that everyone can relate to,” says Aleem. “That’s where the title comes from—each song is a letter intended for a specific person, but it’s up to the listeners as far as how they make the songs their own.”

Aleem stopped by the Celeb Secrets studio recently to talk about Open Letters and perform his song “Find Out!” Check out the full video below and make sure to keep up with Aleem by following him on Twitter at @AleemMusic.
