Alessia Cara Creates an ASMR Video About Her Career

If you’re a fan of ASMR videos, you know that they’re (softly) popping up all over YouTube lately. And if you’re not familiar, here’s your seconds-long science crash course: ASMR stands for autonomous sensory meridian response. It is a relaxing experience like a tingling sensation on the skin or shivers down the spine caused by receiving a (usually auditory) stimulus. In other words, whispers, soft sounds, or static that cause a pleasant bodily reaction.

Why we’re telling you all of this is because singer Alessia Cara not only has the powerful voice of a true goddess, but she recently sat down with W magazine to film an ASMR video where she plays with balloons, . And, of course, she spills about her new songs, like “Growing Pains,” — all while whispering.

In the clip, Alessia takes us on the journey of her career, the stories behind some of her biggest songs, and more.

You can check out Alessia Cara’s ASMR video above. But if you still prefer her usual powerful vocals, make sure to check out her latest musical releases below.
