AMERICAN IDOL: Top 4: Sia performs on AMERICAN IDOL airing Thursday, March 24 (8:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX. 2016 FOX Broadcasting Co. Cr: Ray Mickshaw/ FOX. This image is embargoed until Thursday, March 24,10:00PM PT / 1:00AM ET

There’s only two weeks left untilAmerican Idolis gone forever!😥

On tonight’s episode of American Idol, the Top 5 performed two songs for America’s votes — a rock song and a song originally performed by this week’s mentor, Sia.

Surprisingly, the one who stood out to me the most tonight wasTrent Harmon. Harmoncovered “Sharp Dressed Man” by ZZ Topand I was completelyblown away. His cover was unique and his vocal capabilities just outshined the other contestants. After the 90 second performance,JLosaid, “I’ve been waiting for you to have this performance.” Keith Urban stated thatHarmonhe needed to show his strongest attributes at this point in the competition. Check out the amazingnessTrent Harmonleft on stage below.

The Top 4 rounded out to be (as I predicted) Trent Harmon, La’Porsha Renae, MacKenzie Bourg, andDalton Rapattoni, meaningSonika Vaidreceived the lowest votes last week and will not move on in the competition. While we were sad to see Sonkia’s time on the show end, we knew getting saved every week was not going to last forever.

After Sonika was eliminated, viewers were treated to two performances from IdolalumsDavid CookandKatharine McPhee. Cookperformed his new single “Heartbeat” while McPhee reprised her awe-inspiring version of “Somewhere Over the Rainbow.” Watch both performances below.

Following the return of two successfulIdols,it was time to see the Top 4 perform songs from their mentor,Sia.

The Top 4 –La’Porsha Renae, Trent Harmon, MacKenzie BourgandDalton Rapattoni— performed “Elastic Heart,” “Chandelier,” “Titanium,” and “Bird Set Free,” respectively.

Stealing the show for me on the Siahalf wasDalton Rapattoni with “Bird Set Free.” We’ve recently learned about Rapattoni’sstruggle with bi-polar disorder, and tonight he used his disorder to completely demolish this song and the stigma against his illness. Siaherself struggles with the same disorder, so it was great to see someone with the same disorder tackle the track. JLo commented on Dalton’sbravery and told him that singing helps him find himself.Harry Connick Jr. said, “It was the most powerful for me when you sang the line about there’s a scream inside that we all try to hide.”

After the Top 4 performed, it was time for mentorSiato take the stage. The Australian singer sang her new track “Cheap Thrills” and as always, she killed it.

The Top 4 areDalton Rapattoni, MacKenzie Bourg, Trent Harmon, andLa’Porsha Renae.Make sure to tune in next Thursday @ 8PM to see which contestant makes it into the finale!
