Ariana Grande & John Legend Team Up for Beauty and the Beast Theme Song

If we weren’t already excited for the highly anticipated movie Beauty and the Beast, here’s more to add on to the anticipation.

Grammy nominated artist Ariana Grande and 10-time Grammy winning musician John Legend are coming together to bring you a “tale as old as time.”

The superstar duo have been tapped to perform “Beauty and Beast“for Disney’s upcoming soundtrack to the live-action film adaptation starring Emma Watson and Dan Stevens. The song will also be featured in the movie.

Ariana Grande shared a photo on January 10th from inside the recording booth, giving us an insight of the news with a caption only huge “Beauty and the Beast” fans will know, a fallen rose.

John Legend, on Wednesday, January 11th, confirmed the duet by replying to Grande‘s tweet with a picture of him in the recording booth.

The enchanting ballad, originally performed by Celine Dion and Peabo Bryson featuring Alan Menken‘s beautiful melody and Howard Ashman‘s unforgettable lyrics, received an Academy Award, Golden Globe and Grammy Award, upon its release in 1991.

And we can’t deny that this new rendition will be nominated for awards itself!

The original motion picture soundtrack will be released by Walt Disney Records on March 10th. While, Beauty and the Beast will be released in theaters on March 17, 2017.
