Global pop-superstar Avril Lavigne is set to debut her new single, “Let Me Go” early this morning, Tuesday, October 15, on The Howard Stern Show, announced today. The track is the #1 Most Added at Hot AC this week and is available at digital retailers everywhere. “Let Me Go” is the first duet from Lavigne and marks the duet-debut of her husband, Nickelback co-founder and frontman, multi-platinum-selling songwriter, Chad Kroeger. “Let Me Go” was co-written by Lavigne and Kroeger during their courtship in 2012 when they first met to write songs for her new album, Avril Lavigne (Epic), due in stores November 5, 2013. The Stern show appearance marks the first time either Lavigne and Kroeger have sat down with the legendary host, as well as their first interview together since their wedding day, July 1, 2013.
The video for “Let Me Go” is scheduled to premiere on Good Morning America at 8:30am ET/PT. Directed by Christopher Sims (Keane, Stone Temple Pilots), the video for “Let Me Go” was shot in Southern California less than 2 weeks ago and features a stunningly melancholy Lavigne with Kroeger in their first performance together.
