Rock n’ roll’s favorite sweetheart, Avril Lavigne, is set to release her second single, “Rock N Roll,” from her forthcoming 5th studio album arriving this fall on Epic Records, announced today. “Rock N Roll,” is the follow up to the smash hit “Here’s To Never Growing Up,” which debuted at #1 in 22 countries and was a top 10 single in 44 countries. Co-written by Lavigne, Chad Kroeger, J Kash, Peter Svensson, Rickard Goransson, Dave Hodges, and produced by Peter Svensson, Rickard Goransson and Martin Johnson, “Rock N Roll” will be available at digital retailers everywhere on Tuesday, August 27.

The official video for “Rock N Roll” is set to premiere on VEVO.com tomorrow, Tuesday, August 20. Directed by Chris Marrs Piliero (Britney Spears, The Black Keys), the video was shot on location in Palmdale, California, and features a cheeky Lavigne as the heroine in a post-apocalyptic world on a mission to save rock n’ roll culminating in an epic battle with a Bearshark! The video includes comic splash panel animation and onomatopoeia by Lucas Culshaw, and special guest appearances by Danica McKellar (The Wonder Years) as Winnie Cooperre, Billy Zane (Titanic, The Scorpion King 3) as Mr. Rock N Roll, and Sid Wilson (Slipknot) as Sgt. Terror.
