The Teen Choice Awards are over and the surfboards have been taken home by the winners. While we can stop trying to guess who will win in each category, now we can get into the fashion of the night. The TCA’s have always been a show to wear a fun outfit and take a risk. However, some risks pay off and other risks maybe shouldn’t have been taken. Here’s our picks for the best and worst dressed of the evening:
Cameron Dallas – He chose for a more casual look which definitely paid off. The roses on his jacket helped tie in his red shoes perfectly that wasn’t too matchy matchy. The only real issue is the outfit somehow makes him look shorter, but besides that he pulled it off perfectly for the TCA’s.
Lucy Hale – This dress has just enough fun to not be too overpowering. The design is just enough to give the wow factor and Lucy is definitely the one to pull it off. Her clutch ties in nicely with the outfit as well, although it does almost look like she’s holding onto a huge can.
Sara Hyland – This outfit is absolutely amazing from her hair to her shoes. It is a nice pop of color that she added onto the carpet and the dress compliments her very well. Not to mention she also brought along her beau Dominic Sherwood as her arm candy.
Keke Palmer – Everything about this outfit just screams slay. Keke brought retro to the TCA’s in the best way possible. Her outfit was definitely the most unique of them all and she is the one everyone is still talking about. This is the Teen Choice Awards done right.
Laverne Cox – The look is so simple yet with just that touch of the gold belt makes this outfit everything. It’s fun. It’s relaxed, and it looks absolutely amazing with Laverne Cox wearing it.
Victoria Justice – It honestly took me a while to decide whether or not I like this dress before I realized the dress completely took all of the focus off of Victoria. There’s so much going on it’s like a puzzle to try and figure out. The pattern is amazing but the design of the dress makes this a worst dressed look.
Jason Derulo – I am not even sure where this outfit is supposed to begin and where it is supposed to end. It looks as if he has on 15 different types of white clothing. Also not completely positive if his shirt is just that long or if he left his napkin tucked in from when he was eating before he arrived. Not his finest look.
Lea Michele – The outfit looks super fun and flowy and perfect for the TCA’s from the side, but from the front, the top and the skirt just don’t go very well together. The difference in patterns really sets it off and I think both pieces would have made for a killer outfit had they been paired differently.
Ashley Benson – I absolutely love Ashely Benson but this dress I do not. The hoops going across the waist could have been enough for the dress. The hoops going up seems a little too much and almost looks as if the dress sits awkward at the top because of it.
Jodie Sweetin – The dress did not compliment her body and it was hard to pull out any of the designs without really looking. It felt awkward to stare at the dress while trying to figure out what the issue with it was. Her shoes are so fun and the dress just dulls them down.
