“black-ish” and “Empire” Win Big at the 47th NAACP Image Awards – Full Winners’ List Inside!

The winners of the 47th NAACP Image Awards are officially here!

Live from the Pasadena Civic Auditorium in Pasadena, California, the two-hour ceremony featured appearances from Viola Davis, Kerry Washington, Michael B. Jordan, Ice Cube, Gabrielle Union, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Tracee Ellis Ross,  Gina Rodriguez, Chadwick Boseman, Shonda Rhimes, Keegan-Michael Key, Nate Parker, KenJeong, O’shea Jackson Jr., And Cast Members From ‘Empire’ –Terrence Howard, Taraji P. Henson, Jussie Smollett, Bryshere Gray, Grace Gealy, Trai Byers, Sereyah, Gabourey Sidibe, Ta’rhonda Jones, Kaitlin Doubleday, Lee Daniels and Danny Strong and was hosted by Anthony Anderson.

NAACP Chairwoman Rosyln Brock presented the NAACP Chairman’s Award to Brittany “Bree” Newsome; Justice League NYC; Concerned Student 1950 Collective at the University of Missouri, Columbia; The University of Mississippi NAACP College Chapter; Rev. Dr. Otis Moss III; Rev. Dr. Howard-John Wesley; Rev. Dr. Jamal Harrison Bryant, and Jussie Smollett.

NAACP President Cornell William Brooks presented the NAACP President’s Award to John Legend.
