The 2015 Dumont Cup came to a close with its final competition on Sunday afternoon (March 29) at Sunday River Ski Resort in Newry, Maine.
The slopestyle course featured six rails and three jumps. To see a full tour of the course, click here. After a series of qualifying rounds, only twelve amateur skiers competed against some of the best in the ‘biz, including Joss Christensen, Bobby Brown, Alex Schlopy, Alex Bellmare, James “Woodsy” Woods, Russ Henshaw, Matt Walker, Evan McEachran, and Chris Laker.
Bobby Brown was the man to beat after he stomped an incredible run that earned him a score of 91.6. His run consisted of multiple double corks and technical rail tricks. Amateur Teal Hearle from Canada followed Brown, scoring a 90.6. Woodsy rounded out the podium with an 87.4, earning him a bronze medal.
