Brit Daniels dropped a visual for her new song “Euology” recently and its a must watch!
The Nashville-based pop artist says that the track is “a breakup song that has a cool, dark pop vibe to it.”
“It’s not a sad break up song, though – it’s an empowering one. It’s pretty much about having been with someone who wasn’t putting forth the effort that you deserved, and in knowing your worth, you let them go. The song is tailored around the last words you have to say to that person. I think this is a song that really anyone could relate to while thinking back to some point in their life — for me this particular situation has honestly happened more than once in my past relationships.”
The video was directed by Ford Fairchild, who has worked with many A-listers from Lady Gaga to Keith Urban.
“I absolutely love working with Ford! I had worked with him almost 2 years ago on a photoshoot, but I had never done video work with him before,” Daniels told us exclusively. “I had seen a lot of his video work, though, through keeping up with him since our photoshoot, so I knew that he would totally KILL this video. I actually spoke to Christina (who works alongside Ford at FOCO Creative) on the phone regarding the vibe of the song, and when I sent her the actual song to listen to, she and Ford came back to me with this vision of a lot of bright backgrounds and darker lights on me. However, it wasn’t until the day of that they actually figured out exactly what colors would look best together in this video – there were just a bunch of different colored lights on a white background so the possibilities were endless.”
“It was so cool to see how it all turned out in the end after seeing all the lighting experimentation that day. I also loved the idea because to me, the bright lights symbolize a happiness and a peace that fits some of the ideas in the song, and then the darker lights that were incorporated still represent the dark vibes of the song. The Foco Creative team are honestly the most fun, energetic and easy-going people to work with, and they executed the vision for this video better than I could have ever imagined,” she added.Â
2017 is going to be a big year for Daniels, as she plans on releasing more music and cover videos within the next few months. “I’ve already been writing new music, so I plan on recording and releasing more singles throughout the year, as well as videos! I will be collaborating with some fun, new people both here in Nashville and in LA, and I plan on doing shows in both cities. Also, I will continue to release cover videos of some of my favorite songs regularly – every other week,” she said.Â
