Catherine Taber Dishes on Her Favorite Voice Acting Roles – Exclusive

Chances are, you’ve heard Catherine Taber‘s voice, and it has been coming out of one of your favorite character’s mouth! The actress’ live action and voice acting talents have been featured in television, movies, animation, and video games, including Star Wars: Detours, The Clone Wars, Forces of Destiny and The Force Awakens; Nickelodeon’s The Loud House; Minecraft Story Mode; TitanFall 2; Guardians of the Galaxy and Avengers Assemble, and many more! Celeb Secrets recently caught up with the star, who told us all about some of her favorite roles to date. Check out our exclusive Q&A below.

Celeb Secrets: What can you tell us about your voice as Jesse on the new season of Minecraft Story Mode?

Catherine: I am so excited that Jesse is returning for season two! She is as loyal and courageous as ever. But she has matured and will face bigger and scarier enemies than ever before.

Celeb Secrets: What are you most excited for about voicing Monarch and 7th Titan in TitanFall 2?

Catherine: It is very cool to be able to provide the vocals for such a badass! I often play princesses and queens who have strengths of their own, but not “brute” strength, so this was a fun one! Also, she is the 7th Titan, and 7 is my lucky number!

Celeb Secrets: What is your favorite aspect of being Padme in Star Wars: Forces of Destiny?

Catherine: I love playing Padme. She is the perfect combination of feminine grace and toughness, so I am so happy to get to bring her back in FOD. And the fan response to her being back has been amazing and truly humbling.

Celeb Secrets: How do you prepare differently for voicing a character as opposed to being on film? Do you prefer one over the other?

Catherine: I enjoy them both, and it really depends on the character more than the medium for me, but I usually have to watch what I eat more carefully and step up my workouts for on camera work, so there’s that! But truthfully, I wouldn’t want to trade or give up either. I feel really lucky to get to play in both worlds.

Celeb Secrets: Which character that you have played have you most related to and how?

Catherine: Probably Padme. Again, I just love her grace, intergrity and strength. She is the kind of woman I aspire to be. I, hopefully, however, have better taste in men!

Celeb Secrets: What do you see as being your biggest accomplishment so far?

Catherine: I used to think it would be my career and that I had achieved and sustained “working actress status”, and I am very grateful for that. But I think, I have changed a bit recently and now I hope my biggest accomplishment is more about who I am as a daughter, a sister, a dog mom and a friend. I hope it is more about being a good, loving human being and enjoying the life I have.

Celeb Secrets: If you could be in any show or movie, what would it be, and why?

Catherine: Oh man, that is hard! I would have said Lord of the Rings, but it’s too late! I do LOVE The Walking Dead and I am from Georgia where it shoots! And of course, I wouldn’t say no if Lucas Film/Disney wanted to cast me in a live action Star Wars role. Yeah, I think I am pretty well prepared for that!

Celeb Secrets: Since we are Celeb Secrets, what is a secret about yourself that you would like to share with us?

Catherine: I don’t share this often, but….I am a pretty big Justin Bieber fan.
