Celeb Secrets Predicts Men & Women Snowboard SuperPipe Results for X Games Aspen 2017

This year, X Games Aspen are set for January 26th-29th and with many talented athletes heading west this year. Our excitement for the world’s best show on show is rapidly increasing!

Our personal favorite event during X Games Aspen is the Snowboard SuperPipe Final, as we get to see the world’s most famous winter athletes compete for the coveted metal in the exciting discipline.

Matt Ladley took home the gold last year with Ben Ferguson bringing back the silver. However in the 2017 lineup, the possibilities are endless. We see veteran Shaun White is back to prove his signature Double McTwist is still the one to beat, while the 2015 gold medalist, Danny Davis is also back to take his title.

One of the biggest events at X Games is always the Men and Women’s Snowboard SuperPipe, and Celeb Secrets has got your predictions here! Don’t forget to follow us on Twitter and Instagram at @CelebSecrets4U for live updates from X Games Aspen.

Make sure to catch the Men’s Snowboard SuperPipe competition on Thursday, January 26th @ 10PM EST on EPSN and the Women’s Snowboard SuperPipe competition on Saturday, January 28th @ 6:15PM ET on ESPN.

1st Place: Ben Ferguson

21 year old, Ben Ferguson is one to watch at the 2017 X Games last year he took the silver medal in the SuperPipe category, and getting second only makes us believe that he has the fire to take the gold medal this year. He has had a very successful past few years with making the final in almost every event he competed in. With a year of training and daring tricks in many events we believe that Ferguson is a top contender this year for 1st place.

2nd Place: Matt Ladley

SuperPipe reigning champion, Matt Ladley is our pick to take home the silver medal. He is famous for his technical front side, and he has proved to stay strong over since the last games winning the Park City Grand Prix on Feb. 9th 2016. Ladley will give Ferguson a run for his money as the two went head to head last year, but if we are right we will see them duke it out again this year.

3rd Place: Iouri Podladtchikov

Iouri Podladtchikov is an X Games frequenter who famously took the bronze from veteran, Shaun White.  Podladtchikov is our wild card pick for this years games, but we would love to see him in the top 3, and we believe that he has the skill to get there. He is a SuperPipe champion, and we want to see him back on the podium in 2017.

The women’s SuperPipe is also full of talented athletes. We see talented youngster, Chloe Kim and X Games royalty Kelly Clark will both be in competition at this years games.

1st Place: Chloe Kim

Last year’s gold medalist, Chloe Kim is back and better than ever. At the age of 8, Kim was already throwing tricks that would be difficult for female snowboarders twice her age. She is currently at the front and center of Women’s snowboarding, and we believe that with her talent she will be at the top again this year.

2nd Place: Kelly Clark

With over 70 career wins, Kelly Clark is almost a given for this years podium. She has been pushing for sport of snowboarding for 16 years now and does not seem to be stopping anytime soon. Clark proves to be one of the best female snowboarders in the sport, and with last year not medaling we believe that she has the fire to be back on the podium once again.

3rd Place: Xuetong Cai

22 year old, Xuetong Cai is a big contender for the podium at this year’s X Games. She has never medaled before at the games, but she won the world championships in Austria and did not miss a podium spot in all of 2015. If Cai medals in 2017 she will be the first Chinese athlete to ever medal in the X games.
