Tonight’s BET Awards, held at the Nokia Theatre @ L.A. Live on Sunday, June 29th, was undoubtedly filled with memorable moments including artist performances and heartfelt acceptance speeches.

Usher’s Throw Back Medley
Usher unexpectedly sang throwback jams “Confessions” and “Caught Up” that got everyone at the Nokia Theater and at home dancing on their feet. The remixes reminded us just how great Usher really is.
Beyonce’s Video Performance
Beyonce and Jay-Z stole the night with a surprise performance video that was filmed on-location. At the beginning of the performance, Jay Z was seen rapping to”Partition”and was later joined by the beautiful and iradescent Beyonce.
August Alsina Performance
This new artist took the stage performing “Kissin’ On My Tattoos”. It wasn’t hard to keep the attention towards this attractive and talented artist. Following “Kissin’ On My Tattoos,” Trey Songz and Chris Brown hit the stage to perform songs of their own.
Lionel Richie Tribute
There wasn’t a doubt in our minds how talented Lionel Richie is, but when we got to see his friends tell us of his early days as an artist its amazing to see how far he has come. His tribute was paired with stars singing to his hit songs including John Legend, Yolanda Adams, and Ledisi.
Nicki Minaj’s Alice in Wonderland-themed “Pills and Potions” Performance
The stage itself was designed as if she were Alice in Wonderland, her mesmerizing performance of “Pills and Potions” was on top a mushroom and all eyes were on the beauty in black and gold.
Missy Elliott’s Surprise Appearance with Pharrell
Pharrell immediately got the area on their feet with his performance of “Come Get It Bae” off his new album “G I R L” it was the perfect opener to get the audience hyped.
Lil Wayne Performance
Although we haven’t seen him perform in a while he came in full throttle with his collaboration single “Believe Me” with the guitar blaring and the fans revving to his music. He has always been able to get the crowd to stay on their feet and did not disappoint tonight.
Jhene Aoki and John Legend Duet
She took her single and made it into a ballad and enchanted the audience with her debut song “I Don’t Need you” this artist has the same in depth stage presence as Drake spewing her true thoughts through the mike to make on e beautiful collaboration with John Legend.
Chris Brown Performance
Coming in again Lil Wayne introduced Chris Browns number one single “These Girls Aint Loyal”. Chris Brown appeared in his usual style stealing all of the girls hears in the crowd. He impressed with his dance moves and ended with the audience on their feet.
T.I. and Iggy Azalea’s “Mediocre” Debut
They took stage and commanded attention for T.I.’s new single “No Mediocre” Then Iggy stole the stage and performed her hit “Fancy”.
