The interview was not about how she can go further in the competition, but to reflect on all her amazing accomplishments these past few months.

In our interview, Emily gave us the inside scoop on what it was like being on Team Blake. She also talked aboutwhat she could have changed during her time on the competition and what’s in store for her in the future!Make sure toread the full Q&A below.

Emily, originally from Knoxville, TN is a high school student with a unique passion for classic country and bluegrass music. As one of the younger artist on the show, Emily managed to win the country over with her rustic voice and humble charisma.

CS4U: What was your favorite memory from being on The Voice?

Emily Ann Roberts: “Ive had so many really funny times with Blake. Hes just like an older brother to me almost, weve become really great friends and Im so thankful for everything hes done for me. There were so many times where wed just sit around and laugh at each other. My most favorite time was definitely singing with Ricky Skaggs in the finale that was a dream come true, I love his music and it was awesome to share the stage with him!

CS4U: Is there anything you wish you could have changed over the competition?

Emily Ann Roberts: “I just wish I had been more confident throughout the whole thing. I feel good about the performances but I would beat myself up a lot and that doesnt really help anything. You have to be hard on yourself to a point where you can grow but its hard when youre in that situation when youre being compared to other people. I wish I could just go back and tell myself that the lord made me the way I am for a reason. But I wouldnt trade this experience for anything.”

CS4U: What’s life behind-the-scenes of The Voice?

Emily Ann Roberts: “Theres a bunch of goofing off. I have videos of Zach (Seabaugh) and Barrett (Baber) rapping and goofing of. Theres a lot of eating. Its like family time all the time, we really were a family, and you could always find us joking around!”

CS4U: Will you be going back to school after the competition?

Emily Ann Roberts: “Yeah! I am only 17 so I plan on being back at school next semester. Ive missed it a lot I love my schools I cant wait to be back and see all my friends, and be with my ensembles choir, basketball games Ive missed it all!”

CS4U: If you could collaborate with any artist, who would it be?

Emily Ann Roberts: “I would love to I know I got to meet Dolly Parton and sit down with her and talk to her, and I would love to work with her! She was really supportive and kind and really encourages us to stay true to whom we are and always be real in our hearts no matter how big we get. Its so awesome to hear someone so successful to hear someone talk about staying true to yourself no matter how big you get it was really awesome!”

CS4U: If you weren’t singing, what would you be doing?

Emily Ann Roberts: “I love artsy stuff! If I werent singing I would love to own a cute cupcake shop where I sell cupcakes. Or I would work with kids, or be around people.”

CS4U: Since our website is called CelebSecrets4U, do you have a secret you can share with us?

Emily Ann Roberts: “I dont know if I can do it over the phone but I can make a spot on pig noise.” (Its true we heard it for ourselves!)

CS4U: If you could give any advice to your fans, what would it be?

Emily Ann Roberts: “Whether they want to grow up one day stay true to they you are. They were made perfectly just the way they are and no one else can do what they can do. Peruse their dream no matter what, if they have a passion in their heart to sing or become a doctor or a lawyer whatever it is if thats their passion they need to go for it and fight for it! Never give up, just stay true to who you is the gist of all of it.”
