Teen sensation Cody Simpson announces today the release of his very own breakfast cereal called “Cody Crunch”. The avid cereal lover and top-ranked swimmer in his native Australia personally chose the all-natural, organic ingredients and helped design the unique “cereal capsule” packaging.
Only available online at www.codycrunch.com, “Cody Crunch” is a healthier alternative to most celebrity endorsed breakfast products which, more often than not, are loaded with fat and sugar. Each serving of “Cody Crunch” has only 155 calories, 6 grams of sugar and provides 17% of the daily recommendation of fiber. The blend contains organic dried apples, dark chocolate covered goji berries, healthy hoops and multigrain flakes.
“Cody Crunch” is the first cereal released under the “SinCEREALy Yours” brand created by Primary Wave Music, one of the country’s largest music companies and custom artisanal cereal makers Me & Goji. Other “SinCEREALy Yours” blends personally designed by today’s biggest stars will be released later this year.
Cody Simpson is currently on tour supporting his #1 Radio Disney song, “All Day”. His debut album is set for release later this Fall.
“I wanted to have my own cereal for as long as I could remember, says Cody Simpson. My Mom used to give me chocolate covered gojis as a snack before my swim meets, so they were the first ingredient I chose for “Cody Crunch”. I really hope everyone enjoys eating it as much as I enjoyed making it!”
“20% of our country’s kids are categorized as obese, says Devin Lasker, Chief Imagination Officer at Primary Wave. Besides the associated health risks, obesity is also the #1 reason why children are bullied. We created the “SinCEREALy Yours” brand because we wanted to offer children a great tasting, healthier alternative to the celebrity endorsed, sugar-laden cereals already in the marketplace. Cody is the perfect artist to help launch this and we’re thrilled that he’s involved.”
“With Cody we have a young, up-and-coming artist with a rabid fan base, says Me & Goji co-founder, Adam Sirois. “More importantly, he is focused on promoting good values to his fans, such as proper nutrition. This is not a celebrity slapping his face on a product to make a quick buck: Cody was hands-on from the beginning, making sure he created the very best product for his fans.”
