Coldplay’s “A Head Full Of Dreams” is Certified Platinum by the RIAA

Coldplay‘s album A Head Full of Dreams is officially certified PLATINUM by the RIAA!

The news coincides with the one-year anniversary of the album’s release. Now all seven of the band’s studio albums have attained Platinum status (or above) in the U.S. A Head Full Of Dreams has sold more than five million copies globally.

The band’s new video shows Chris Martin recording a stripped-back version of “Everglow,” a song from A Head Full Of Dreams. The video, which was directed by Ben Mor, also features an excerpt of Muhammad Ali speaking to a live studio audience in Newcastle upon Tyne, in 1977.

Coldplay has supported A Head Full Of Dreams with a series of high profile television appearances – including a headline performance at Super Bowl 50 – and its largest headline tour to date. The band sold out stadiums across the U.S. on its A Head Full Of Dreams Tour, which has played to 2.5 million people worldwide in 2016. Coldplay will return to North American in 2017 for another extensive stadium run.
