Cole Swindell Celebrates Second Consecutive No. 1 with “Hope You Get Lonely Tonight”

Solidifying himself as country music’s breakout artist of 2014, Cole Swindell, is celebrating  his second consecutive No. 1 single off his self-titled debut album with “Hope You Get Lonely Tonight,” which topped the Billboard Country and Mediabase Charts this week. Nominated for CMA New Artist of the Year, the country singer-songwriter is set to make his Grand Ole Opry debut next Tuesday, October 7th on the legendary stage.

“It’s hard to believe I am thanking country radio for my second No. 1 single!” Cole exclaimed upon hearing the news. “I grew up listening to country radio and it still blows my mind that songs I am a part of have a spot on their playlists.”

Swindell burst onto the country music scene with his certified platinum No. 1 smash hit “Chillin’ It,” and has performed for millions of fans at over 200 shows in 2014 alone. Documenting his explosive year along the way, he has impressively sold over 2.1 million singles and 250,000 albums, having the highest selling country debut upon release since 2011. Also a celebrated songwriter,  Swindell’s credits include “This Is How We Roll,” the smash hit for Florida Georgia Line, “Get Me Some of That,” the No. 1 single for Thomas Rhett, several songs with Luke Bryan, including current single “Roller Coaster,” as well as cuts for Scotty McCreery, Chris Young and Craig Campbell, among others.

Swindell is about to embark on Luke Bryan’s “Farm Tour” before heading out on his own “Down Home Tour” this winter which kicks off November 17th. The two month run of shows will feature vibrant performer, newcomer Kelleigh Bannen, who is currently supporting her new single at country radio, “You Are What You Love.”
