Producer and dancer Corbin Bleu (“High School Musical”) will be joining the list of attendees at The Actors Fund’s 2015 Looking Ahead Awards to present a very special award to some very special people: His parents!
The 26 year-old actor will be presenting the Judy and Hilary Swank Award for Parenting to his very own parents, Martha Callari Reivers and David Reivers. The Looking Ahead Awards raises awareness and funds for The Actors Fund’s Looking Ahead Program which help performers to inspire the world by following the program’s main values of education, leadership, growth and community service. The program was created back in 2003 in partnership with SAG-AFTRA. The overall goal is help develop fundamental skills that will help kids/teens between ages of 9 and 18 make successful transitions into adulthood.
The list of honorees who will be awarded as well include:
- Tatyana Ali (“The Fresh Prince of Bel Air”) – The Looking Ahead Award for Education
- Mario Lopez (“Extra, Saved By The Bell”) – The Looking Ahead Award for Community Service
- Rose Marie (“Dick Van Dyke Show”) – The Shirley Temple Award
- Hayen Byerly, Noah Centineo, David Lambert, Maia Mitchell, and Cierra Ramirez (ABC Family’s “The Fosters”) – The Looking Ahead Award for Social Awareness
The event will also feature presentations from nine-time Emmy Award winner Carl Reiner, actor/host Alfonso Ribeiro (“America’s Funniest Home Videos”, “The Fresh Prince of Bel Air”, “Dancing With The Stars”) and creators/executive producers of “The Fosters” Peter Paige and Bradley Bredeweg. Past honorees of the Looking Ahead Awards include Hilary Swank (“Million Dollar Baby”, “The Homesman”), Hailee Steinfeld (“Pitch Perfect 2”), Tia and Tamera Mowry (“Sister, Sister”) and much more!
The gala will be taking place at Taglyan Cultural Complex in Hollywood on Thursday, December 3rd. Tickets are now available for purchase.
