Earlier this year, we had the opportunity to visit Epitome Pictures in Toronto to check out the set of Nickelodeon’s new series Make It Pop and hang out with cast members Megan Lee, Louriza Tronco, Erika Tham and Dale Whibley. To say that we had a blast is an understatement!

Make It Pop is a half-hour comedy where diva Sun Hi (Megan Lee), fashionista Jodi (Louriza Tronco) and bookworm Corki (Erika Tham) must learn to live together in perfect harmony after they are randomly selected to room together at boarding school. With the help of fellow classmate and aspiring DJ, Caleb (Dale Whibley), the girls grow from roommates to bandmates as their group, XO-IQ, becomes a school-wide sensation and they compete for a place in the upcoming school musical, all while balancing music, grades, relationship and crushes.

During our time in Toronto, we were able to watch some episodes of Make It Pop with the cast and tour the set with the show creator, Thomas Lynch. On our set tour, we walked through the halls of Mackendrick Prep, hung out in Caleb’s and Sun Hi, Jodi and Corki’s dorm rooms, and watched the cast perform “Light It Up” in Club Ry Ri! After the set tour, we had the opportunity to watch Megan, Louriza, Erika and Dale film promos for the series! In between promo shoots, we sat down with each of the cast members to talk all things Make It Pop! In our interview, Megan, Louriza, Erika and Dale tell us what we can expect from the K-POP inspired series, what its like being in a band, their favorite outfits and some juicy on-set secrets! Make sure to tune in to the SEASON ONE FINALE of Make It Pop tonight at 7PM on Nickelodeon. In “Hero, Courage, and Brains,” Corki (Tham) develops a case of stage fright, jeopardizing the entire school play. Meanwhile, Jodi (Tronco) gets a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to work with fashion designer Hye Jung and guest star Nick Cannon makes a surprise appearance at Club Ry Ri.
