2014+CMT+Music+Awards+Show+CKDri6d3VnFlThe countdown to the 2015 CMT Music Awards has officially begun!

With only two days until showtime, CS4U is giving you a breakdown on what you can expect from one of country music’s biggest event hosted by Brittany Snow and Erin Andrews.

Today, we are sharing our thoughts on who will be taking home the awards from the following single artist categories: Video of the Year, Male Video of the Year, Female Video of the Year and Breakthrough Video of the Year.

The 2015 CMT Music Awards will be broadcasted LIVE from the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville on Wednesday, June 10, on CMT from 8:00 PM–10:30 PM ET.

VIDEO OF THE YEAR
Best video of the year; awarded to the artist (male, female, group/duo or collaboration) and the video director. Final nominees announced during live telecast, with final voting held online at CMT.com during the show.

  • Carrie Underwood – “Something In The Water”
  • Darius Rucker – “Homegrown Honey”
  • Dierks Bentley – “Drunk On A Plane”
  • Florida Georgia Line – “Dirt”
  • Jason Aldean – “Burnin’ It Down”
  • Kenny Chesney – “American Kids”
  • Lady Antebellum – “Bartender”
  • Lee Brice – “I Don’t Dance”
  • Luke Bryan – “Play It Again”
  • Maddie & Tae – “Girl In A Country Song”
  • Miranda Lambert with Carrie Underwood – “Somethin’ Bad”
  • Sam Hunt – “Leave The Night On”

Really CMT?! How are we supposed to choose ONE video out of all these nominees?! This is so tough :( Each artist is so talented and really knows how to release a music video the RIGHT way! In our opinion, we feel that each video has a fair chance of winning and will battle it out for the most coveted buckle this year. Our thoughts on who will win? We can’t choose which video it will be, but have a feeling that its going to come from someone that is nominated more than once in this category. *HINT HINT* ;) Don’t forget! the final nominees will be announced during the live telecast. Fans can vote online at CMT.com during the show to have their favorite artist win!

MALE VIDEO OF THE YEAR
Best video by a male artist; awarded to the artist

  • Dierks Bentley – “Drunk On A Plane”
  • Eric Church – “Talladega”
  • Jason Aldean – “Burnin’ It Down”
  • Keith Urban – “Somewhere In My Car”
  • Kenny Chesney – “American Kids”
  • Luke Bryan – “Play It Again”

So many talented (and gorgeous) men to choose from! Looks aside, we feel that Jason Aldean is taking home the “Male Video of the Year” buckle for “Burnin’ It Down.” The song and video are literally everywhere, and the track has been doing pretty well on Country Radio and the Billboard Music charts.

FEMALE VIDEO OF THE YEAR
Best video by a female artist; awarded to the artist

  • Carrie Underwood – “Little Toy Guns”
  • Carrie Underwood – “Something In The Water”
  • Lee Ann Womack – “The Way I’m Livin’”
  • Miranda Lambert – “Little Red Wagon”
  • RaeLynn – “God Made Girls”
  • Reba – “Going Out Like That”

Women in country make such awesome music videos, right? It’s seriously so hard to choose among such talented ladies. In our opinion, we feel that 2014 CMA Awards winner, Miranda Lambertwill take home the “Female Video of the Year” buckle for her single, “Little Red Wagon” for the sixth consecutive year.

BREAKTHROUGH VIDEO OF THE YEAR
Best video from an artist’s major breakthrough album; awarded to the artist (male, female or group/duo)

  • Chase Rice – “Gonna Wanna Tonight”
  • Frankie Ballard – “Sunshine & Whiskey”
  • Kelsea Ballerini – “Love Me Like You Mean It”
  • Maddie & Tae – “Girl In A Country Song”
  • RaeLynn – “God Made Girls”
  • Sam Hunt – “Leave The Night On”

Does anyone else agree that there should be six buckles given to each nominee since they ALL have had successful careers this year? We dream each artist can take home this title, but in reality only one will win. Each artists’ tracks that are nominated have been breaking country music records, BUT– in our opinion —  we feel that Kelsea Ballerini has made the biggest breakthrough this year. “Love Me Like You Mean It” is the songstress’ debut single, and it has been doing extremely well since its release. Kelsea’s songs are not only played on Country Radio, but they are also played on Radio Disney, which is really breaking the average country norm. In our opinion, Kelsea Ballerini deserves the buckle for “Breakthrough Video of the Year.”

Let’s dish: What are your thoughts on our predictions for the 2015 CMT Music Awards? Make sure to see who snags a buckle LIVE on Wednesday, June 10th at 8/7c only on CMT.
