CS4U Predicts the Billboard Music Awards: Album Categories! (@OfficialBBMAs)

billboard-awardsBefore the Billboard Music Awards airs live on Sunday, May 18th from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, here’s a look at who we think will take home the awards in the album category.

Top Billboard 200 Album:

Beyoncé “Beyoncé”

Luke Bryan “Crash My Party”

Drake “Nothing Was The Same”

Eminem “The Marshall Mathers LP 2”

Justin Timberlake “The 20/20 Experience”

This would have to be between Queen B, Beyoncé, and Justin Timberlake. They both had a great year, first J.T has so many good songs on the 20/20 experience and this album specifically brought him back into the spotlight. However, Beyoncé surprised all of her fans by dropping her album totally randomly online with the hit singles Drunk in Love and Partition and we must admit we still jamming to those songs.  We are going to have to give this to Beyoncé.

Top R&B Album:

Beyoncé “Beyoncé”

R. Kelly “Black Panties”

Robin Thicke “Blurred Lines”

Justin Timberlake “The 20/20 Experience”

Justin Timberlake “The 20/20 Experience (2 of 2)”

Once again, this would be between Queen B and J.T, but I mean our man J.T is nominated twice for an amazing album that brought him back into the spotlight taking over pop culture. We can’t turn on the radio without hearing one of Justin’s songs. We are going to give this award to our man Justin.

Top Rap Album:

J. Cole “Born Sinner”

Drake “Nothing Was The Same”

Eminem “The Marshall Mathers LP 2”

Jay Z “Magna Carta…Holy Grail”

Macklemore & Ryan Lewis “The Heist”

We are going to have to give the top rap album to Jay Z, he has been taking the world by storm along side his wife Beyoncé. He went on tour with Justin Timberlake and we can’t forget their hit single together Holy Grail. We have been seeing Jay Z everywhere so we think he is going to take this award this year.

Top Country Album:

Garth Brooks “Blame It All On My Roots: Five Decades of Influences”

Luke Bryan “Crash My Party”

Florida Georgia Line “Here’s To The Good Time”

The Robertsons “Duck The Halls: A Robertson Family Christmas”

Blake Shelton “Based On A True Story”

Hands down Mr. Hottie Luke Bryan is going to win this award. Like first of all have you guys seen him? And second have you heard him sing?! He will win this category for sure because this album is amazing– what more is there to say?

Top Rock Album:

Lana Del Rey “Born To Die”

Fall Out Boy “Save Rock And Roll”

Imagine Dragons “Night Visions”

Lorde “Pure Heroine”

Mumford & Sons “Babel”

This category is difficult because every single one of these nominees are so talented and all deserve this award. We are going to have to say Lorde is going to win this award because she may be young, but she is taking over the radio station charts.

Top Latin Album:

Marc Anthony “3.0”

Alejandro Fernandez “Confidencias”

Jenni Rivera “1969- Siempre: En Vivo Desde Monterrey: Parte 1

Prince Royce “Soy El Mismo”

Romeo Santos “Formula: Vol. 2”

We are going to say Jenni Rivera is going to take this award. We predict she is going to take this award again this year. She lets her life live on through her music and will continue to win awards.

Top Dance/Electronic Album:

Avicii “True”

Daft Punk “Random Access Memories”

Lady Gaga “ARTPOP”

Lindsey Stirling “Lindsey Stirling”

Zedd “Clarity”

This category is difficult because there is Zedd, Lady Gaga, Daft Punk, Avicii how can we possibly choose one. Zedd has been making hit singles non stop and is blowing up the charts. The radio is still playing Hey Brother and Wake Me Up by Avicii. However, we think Daft Punk is going to take it because their album is futuristic with a touch of disco-funk.

Top Christian Album:

Alan Jackson “Precious Memories: Volume II”

Skillet “Rise”

Third Day “Miracle”

Chris Tomlin “Burning Lights”

Various Artists “WOW Hits 2014”

We think Chris Tomlin is going to take the award for Top Christian Album because of the positive messages he sends through his music. He has been nominated before for this category, but we think this year he is going to take it.
