Who’s ready for the mid-season premiere of Dance Moms tonight?!

If you thought the show couldn’t get anymore dramatic than the first half of season six, think again. The hit reality series returns to Lifetime this evening, and Celeb Secrets has the scoop on what you can expect straight from the show’s choreographer, Gianna Martello.

Tonight’s episode begins with a newly motivated Abby Lee Miller promising to no longer overlook her remaining dancers now that her star, Maddie Ziegler, is gone. Abby assigns Brynn and Kendall head-to-head duets with boy partners and Brynn struggles with the pressure. Jess calls out Abby’s favoritism for Brynn and Ashlee hits her boiling point.

Martello has been choreographing routines for the Abby Lee Dance Company (ALDC) since she was 16 years old. She has been a part of the faculty at the ALDC for 11 years, and has been a guest instructor and judge around the world on competition circuits. Her award-winning routines have earned her regional and national titles, as well as overall awards and choreography awards. The dancer/coreographer also holds a BA in Advertising and Public Relations from Point Park University.

In our interview, Gianna told us all about how she became involved with the Abby Lee Dance Company and what it’s been like watching all the girls grow into not only beautiful dancers, but also young ladies. She opened up about what ALDC looks for in a dancer and her favorite pieces to choreograph. Of course she mentions what you can expect from season 6B and season 7, but you have to watch the video below to find out what it is!

Dance Moms season 6B premieres tonight, September 6th @ 9/8C on Lifetime.
