Dancing With The Stars aired LIVE tonight (Oct 5th) on ABC.
The stars and their partners took a trip down memory lane this week which brought on a lot of emotions for both the audience and viewers at home.
This week Alfonso hosted
Alek and Lindsay did a Paso Doble to Avicii’s “Wake Me Up”. Expressing how the recent shooting at UMPQUA Community College back in his hometown of Roseburg, Oregon greatly effected him. Channeling his emotions and putting that into his routine surely proved his undeniable strength. 24 out of 30 for the night.
Nick Carter and partner Sharna did a Jazz number to a Backstreet Boys hit “Everybody (Backstreet’s Back)”. And for Nick his most memorable year was of course meeting the Backstreet Boys! Recreating the Backstreet pandemonium the dance was a job well done. 27 out of 30 for the night.
Carlos PenaVega and Witney were up next. Carlos’ most memorable year was 2012 when Big Time Rush were at the top of their fame. After losing his way a little bit once the band dismembered he recalls turning to the church and meeting his wife Alexa PenaVega along the way. Doing a beautiful Waltz to “Amazing Grace” the partners looked as if they were dancing on clouds. 25 out of 30 for the night.
Paula Deen’s most memorable year was during her divorce and trying to keep her family together. Along with partner Louis the couple Cha-Cha’d to Aretha Franklin’s “Respect”. 18 out of 30 for the night.
Andy Grammer recalled the time his mom had Breat Cancer as his most memorable year. Dedicating his Cha-Cha in her remembrance. Partner Alison danced to one of Andy’s very own “Good To Be Alive”. 23 out of 30.
One of the most emotional dances of the night was Bindi Irwin and Derek. Bindi’s most memorable year was all the good times she spent with her late father, Steve Irwin. The couple danced a contemporary dance in a beautiful, powerful, and moving routine. 28 out of 30.
The ballroom said goodbye to Gary Busey and Anna.
