The Top 5 – Sadie Robertson & Mark Ballas, Tommy Chong & Peta Murgatroyd, Bethany Mota & Derek Hough, Janel Parrish & Val Chmerkovskiy, and Alfonso Riberio & Witney Carson, battled it out during the semi-finals.
Sadie Robertson & Mark quickstepped to Ariana Grande’s “One Less Problem” and gave a fun and sleek performance. “I didn’t find nothing that I didn’t like about that whole dance!” said Len Goodman. Combining their scores along with their Argentine Tango ended the night with a total score of 74.
Up for elimination tonight, Tommy Chong & Peta gave a Jazz number that left the judges in admiration for the seventy-six year old. “Too me you are the MVP of this season” said Carrie Ann. Along with their Rumba gave them a total of 62 for the night.
Despite a back injury, Alfonso Riberio & Witney danced the Argentine Tango in a very strong and powerful performance. Alfonso did not do the second half of their dance. Leaving him with the total 36.
Janel Parrish & Val gave a passionate Tango, Val even dabbling in some violin himself, on the ballroom floor tonight. “You just have a gift..and you dance with everything that you have!” said, Julianne Hough. Ending the night with a total score of 78.
The ballroom had to say goodbye to Tommy Chong & Peta Murgatroyd this week.
