Congrats are in order for Danny Davis this evening!

The 26-year-old professional snowboarder snagged the coveted gold medal for the second time in a row in the premier Men’s Snowboard SuperPipe competition at X Games Aspen 2015. Danny used a last run led off with a McTwist, a front side 900, backside 700, switch method cab 1080 and a front side double cork 1080 to capture gold with a score of 93.66.

Davis narrowly edged out Japan’s Taku Hiraoka who scored a 92.33 for silver – the same medal he captured in last winter’s Sochi Olympics. Switzerland’s Iouri Podladtchikov first run score of 89.00 was enough to win bronze.

When asked about his back-to-back win, Davis said, “I actually think this is the first thing I have ever done back-to-back. It is a good feeling man, you feel accomplished. It feels like a good accomplishment. It means I am snowboarding well and I landed a lot of runs today. That is a good feeling.”

CS4U caught up with Danny moments after winning the gold medal for the Men’s Snowboard SuperPipe competition. In our interview, Davis talks about beating Shaun White, his winning run and what it felt like to win the gold medal. Check out the video below.
