Deadpool, the movie no Hollywood studio wanted to make just made history!
As of last weekend Deadpool grossed over $745 million worldwide beating previous record-holder “The Matrix Reloaded,” which grossed $742.1 million in 2003. However, Deadpool is third place domestically behind American Sniper and The Passion Of The Christ for biggest R rated domestic films of all time.
Despite the low production budget for this Marvel superhero movie, the red suit bad guy still came out on top. This is obviously incredible news for director Tim Miller and star Ryan Reynolds as well as the rest of the cast and crew. There is already a sequel in the works and it’s all thanks to the audience for convincing Hollywood that this is a movie that needed to be made.
