Demi has been releasing teasers for her new music video of ‘Really Don’t Care’ and the wait is finally over.
The music video was shot earlier this month (June 8th) in West Hollywood during the L.A. Pride parade where Demi was grand marshal and performed on a moving float.
The video promotes LGBT pride and shows hundreds of people happily parading the streets in bright vibrant colors freely expressing themselves. “For me, ‘Really Don’t Care’ is an anthem that represents being comfortable in your own skin and not caring what others think. Pride defines that,” said Demi during a previous interview.
In the beginning of the video you do hear Demi confront the hatred towards the parade coming from the Westboro Baptist Church protesters claiming that her Jesus loves everyone; however, the video really does captures the celebration of the parade.
Cher Lloyd is featured in the video singing along with Demi, but she also had cameos from her boyfriend Wilmer Valderrama and none other than Perez Hilton.
‘Really Don’t Care’ is Demi’s fourth single off of her fourth studio album Demi, which she released last year (2013). She started her Neon Lights Tour earlier this year and had performed the summer anthem alongside Cher Lloyd a couple of times making fans even more excited for the official music video.
