Think back to your childhood with me for a second: did you ever ask anyone if they wanted to build a snowman with you? If you did, you probably did so earnestly. Maybe one of your siblings, or a neighbor, who was off from school thanks to a blizzard and a much-needed snow day. But now fast forward to a world P.F. (post-Frozen) and it’s a whole new ball game. If you ask someone to build a snowman with you, it’s no longer a simple suggestion: this kind of exchange demands you assume the role of either ElsaAnna, or Olaf, and belt out the request in song. I don’t make the rules, that’s just how it is now.

If your song preferences happen to be more of the Broadway variety than the animated feature film, you’re in luck: the official soundtrack for Disney’s Frozen: The Broadway Musical is getting released digitally on May 11, and the physical album drops on June 8.

The album is produced by Kristen Anderson-Lopez, Robert Lopez, Stephen Oremus, Dave Metzger and Chris Montan — and features the vocals of the original stage cast from the show’s Manhattan production.
