Dot Records to Release Ashley Campbell’s “Remembering” from “Glen Campbell… I’ll Be Me”

TAC_SINGLE_Remebering_Cover_2015.06.05_FNLhere is no doubt that Ashley Campbell inherited her iconic father Glen Campbell’s musical talent. The multi-faceted musician was prominently featured in the Oscar® nominated documentary GLEN CAMPBELL…I’ll BE ME, which followed Glen on his final tour and captured his struggle with Alzheimer’s disease. As a member of his touring band alongside her siblings, Ashley supported the ailing legend on stage and off. This lead her to write the heartbreaking and soulful “Remembering,” which was featured on the film’s soundtrack and will be released to radio and iTunes on June 29 by Dot Records.

This comes the day after the critically acclaimed documentary makes its television debut on CNN (6/28). In partnership Eli Lilly and Company, CNN Films will broadcast GLEN CAMPBELL…I’LL BE ME through November 2015.  Featuring the GRAMMY®-winning and Academy Award®-nominated song, “I’m Not Gonna Miss You,” sung by Glen Campbell himself, the heartbreakingly beautiful, funny, inspiring film directed by James Keach and produced by Trevor Albert and Keach follows the long goodbye that is Alzheimer’s disease as Campbell, and his family, struggle with the diagnosis and progression of the illness through his poignant “Goodbye Tour” in 2011 to 2012.

Ashley will be making two high profile national appearances this week in support of “Remembering” and the film. She will appear with her mother, Kim Campbell, on CNN’s Anderson Cooper 360 at 8pm EST on Thursday, June 25 and on CNN’s New Day on Friday, June 26 at 8am EST.

“Remembering” is the first radio release from the newest Dot Records artist, Ashley Campbell, and it varies slightly from the original with a more up-tempo sound while retaining its passion and emotion. She joins superstar Steven Tyler, trailblazers Maddie and Tae and up-and-comer Drake White on the historic imprint under the Big Machine Label Group. Ashley is currently in the studio recording new music with GRAMMY®-winning producer Julian Raymond who worked closely with her father on the GLEN CAMPBELLI’LL BE ME soundtrack.
