With the help of Headbands of Hope and the St. Baldrick’s Foundation, Wahlestedt went from room to room delivering headbands and buffs to the girls and boys who are currently battling cancer. Wahlestedt was recently seen on Lifetime’s hit series “Army Wives” and will be making her feature film debut in Earth to Echo [Relativity Media] which will be released summer 2014.
Worldwide, a child is diagnosed with cancer every three minutes, and one in five children diagnosed in the U.S. will not survive. Headbands of Hope has partnered with the St. Baldrick’s Foundation to support childhood cancer research. For every headband purchased, one is given to a girl with cancer and $1 is donated to St. Baldrick’s to fund life-saving childhood cancer research. The St. Baldrick’s Foundation is a volunteer-driven and donor-centered charity dedicated to raising money for childhood cancer research and funding the most promising research initiatives to find cures.
