The 45th Annual NAACP Image Awards Nominees’ Luncheon was held at the Loews Hollywood Hotel on Saturday afternoon (February 8) in Los Angeles, Calif.
Hosted by Roland Martin and Lauren Lake, the afternoon was filled with special guests, nominees, and performances by Naturally 7 and Chloe and Halle.
Nominees in attendance included Gabourey Sidibe (FX’s “American Horror Story: Coven”), Niecy Nash (TV Land’s “The Soul Man”), India.Arie (2014 Image Award Nominee for “Outstanding Female Artist”), Columbus Short (ABC’s “Scandal”), Guillermo Diaz (ABC’s “Scandal”), Aisha Tyler (FX’s “Archer”), Debbie Allen (ABC’s “Grey’s Anatomy”), James Pickens, Jr. (ABC’s “Grey’s Anatomy”), Chandra Wilson (ABC’s “Grey’s Anatomy”), Aaron D. Spears (CBS’ “The Bold and the Beautiful”), Christel Khalil (CBS’ “The Young and the Restless”), Bill Duke (OWN’s “Dark Girls”), Najee (“The Morning After: A Musical Love Journey”), China Anne McClain (Disney Channel’s “A.N.T. Farm”), Fatima Ptacek (Nickelodeon’s “Dora the Explorer”), and Karan Brar (Disney Channel’s “Jessie”).
ICYMI: The NAACP and TV One announced the second group of presenters confirmed to participate at the 45th NAACP Image Awards including Idris Elba, Vin Diesel, Terry Crews, Nia Long, Naomie Harris, Morris Chestnut, Chadwick Boseman, Tyrese Gibson, Ed Asner, and Ben Vereen. These presenters will join previously announced Lupita Nyong’o, Tyler Perry, Michael Ealy, Tony Goldwyn, Arsenio Hall, Regina Hall, Octavia Spencer, Archie Panjabi, Dennis Haysbert, Rickey Smiley, Nicole Beharie, and Lou Gossett Jr. In addition, Oprah Winfrey will honor Nelson Mandela with a tribute during the award show.
The 45th Annual NAACP Image Awards, hosted by Anthony Anderson, will broadcast LIVE from the Pasadena Civic Auditorium on Saturday, February 22, 9:00 p.m./6:00 p.m. ET/PT as a two-hour star-studded special on TV One. The telecast will also include “The 45thNAACP Image Awards Red Carpet Live” one-hour pre-show at 8:00 p.m./5:00 p.m. ET/PT.
