CelebSecrets4U hit up the 2013 Kids Choice Awards at the USC Galen Center on Saturday night! We had a blast and are bringing you all the deets on the show!
It was a warm, sunny day in California has the stars strut down the orange and purple carpet! From Selena Gomez to Katy Perry to Kristen Stewart… EVERYONE WAS THERE!!!
We rushed to our seats as soon as the doors opened. Once we walked in, we couldn’t believe how awesome everything looked in real life.. WAY bigger than what you see on TV! What you guys didn’t see on TV is that before the show actually aired, we learned the Kid’s Choice Shake, which is the Nickelodeon version of the Harlem Shake. We practiced it a few times so that when it came up during the show, we were all more than prepared!
Then, the clock struck 5pm and it was finally time for the show to start!! Stars were rushing to their seats at the last minute to see Josh Duhamel’s opening act! Which, by the way, we loved!!! Our favorite part was definitely when Josh was poking fun of Fergie’s dress and baby bump!
Pitbull and Christina Aguilera kicked off the show with an outstanding performance of their new hit, “Feel This Moment.” The crowd got pumped up and everyone was dancing, but we knew someone was about to get slimed! Of course, we were right!! Pitbull got drenched in slime at the end of his performance!! What you guys didn’t see on TV is after the performance ended and the show went on a commercial break, a bunch of the crew members ran to Pitbull to clean him off with a bunch of towels! But that didn’t stop him from saying “hi” to all the fans by the stage!!
As the show continued, we knew there was way more slime to come, but everyone was caught by surprised when Lakers star Dwight Howard got hit with that green gooey slime!! The slime got him from the basketball hoop on stage! Bet he didn’t see that one coming!
The blimps started rolling out to reward all your favorite stars that YOU voted for!! Our favorite moment had to be he cast of Victorious coming up on stage to accept their award for Favorite TV Show! With the show recently coming to an end, you could tell Victoria Justice and the rest of the gang couldn’t be more proud of the show they created. Victoria even got a little choked up giving her thank you speech!
The show continued with more stars excepting their blimps like the cast of Hunger Games, Danika Patrick, Selena Gomez, Katy Perry, and even Johnny Depp!!!! Ke$ha also get us pumped with her awesome performance of a few of her hits!
Host Josh Duhamel wore a ton of costumes throughout the show including a Los Angeles Lakers uniform, Spongebob Squarepants, a tracksuit and even a can of slime!!!
Well, I guess you can say we had an AMAZING time at the 2013 Kids Choice Awards!!! We’d like to thank Nickelodeon for hooking us up with a pair of tickets and hopefully we’ll be back for the 2014 Kids Choice Awards!!!!!
