The biggest names in music hit the red carpet for the 8th Annual Stars & Strikes Bowling and Poker Tournament held at PINZ Bowling Center on Wednesday evening (March 19) in Studio City, CA.
Over the past seven years, Stars & Strikes for APCH, which is Executive Produced by Thirty-Three Productions, Inc. has raised more than $700,000 for APCH’s free programs, with a focus on the teens; providing recreation, field trips, academic tutoring, college preparation, college tours and scholarships for hundreds of South Central teens, many of whom have gone on to break negative cycles and be the first in their families to attend college.
The night was filled with food, drinks, celebrities, bowling, and poker–all for a good cause. Stars in attendance included Ryan K. Follese (Hot Chelle Rae), R5, Megan Nicole, Bonnie McKee, Nick Cannon, Mike Posner, Jake Miller, Dev, Midnight Red, Bea Miller, G.R.L. and more.
A Place Called Home (www.apch.org) is a safe haven in South Central Los Angeles where underserved youth are empowered to take ownership of the quality and direction of their lives through programs in education, arts, and well-being and are inspired to make a meaningful difference in their community and the world. Core programs support APCH members from 8-21 years old in avoiding destructive behaviors by developing life skills and motivation to overcome adversity, make healthy, productive choices, and take advantage of the opportunities that lie before them.
