Boy band Action Item has been so successful the past few years! From collaborating with Nick Jonas to touring with Hot Chelle Rae, there are so many open doors in their career to become the next big thing. Action Item’s most recent project, “Until Its Over,” is a documentary highlighting the ups and downs from the day Action Item was formed till now. Front runner Brian Cag sat down to discuss the documentary as well as tease us with the band’s Owl City tour set list! Check out the full Q&A below.
Can you tell us a little bit about your documentary, “Until Its Over?”
Until It’s Over is the summary of our lives thus far within the band. It was a way for us to really tell our story, the full and honest one. The movie enables our fans and new viewers to really grasp a sense of what we have gone through as musicians, and most of all, friends. Some feedback I’ve received is that the viewers really get a feeling of knowing us as individuals.
What was it like hosting premieres all over the country for your fans?
It’s a crazy feeling to be able to sell out movie theaters across the country. Growing up, I never imagined being able to say that I have done something like this. Who gets to say that they have their own movie? We are all truly blessed to have such responsive and amazing fans.
You just released the single “Last Day of Summer”.. how has the fan reaction been so far?
It’s been great! I think this single represents where we plan on taking the music in the future. Also, this is going to be the first song where we decide to take it to radio. This should be an exciting venture for the band!
You have toured and worked with so many A-listers in the industry! Who has been your favorite to work and tour with?
For the new record, we were fortunate enough to work with many of our favorite writers and producers. Most of the new record is produced by the great team of U4L and Andrew Goldstein. Was a great and pretty eye-opening experience getting to work with them. Anthony also co-write a bunch of songs with some of our buddies like Jordan from The Ready Set and Jason Reeves.
What can we expect from your set list when on tour with Owl City?
Lots of new songs, and some familiar ones… possibly including a cover. 🙂 We plan on making this set a memorable experience for not only us, but all of the new listeners coming in!
Any other upcoming projects you can tell us about?
We are about to release a video game in November! It really showcases our “hidden talents” that not many people would know about. There are also a ton of other little surprises I can’t give away yet, but very soon!

We really appreciate everyone who gives us a chance. Honesty is such an important thing among us, and we are really appreciative of every single fan we have. We try to do more than just be a band, play shows, and follow the “rulebook.” We try to give everyone a different experience for our music, come to a show or VIP event and you’ll understand what I mean.
Since our website is called CelebSecrets4U, can you share one secret about yourself?
I wanted to become a professional skateboarder, but I guess singing isn’t half bad either, right? 🙂
