Mahogany LOX is no newbie to the entertainment industry. Coming from a long line of music executives (The Gordy Family) and having her brother Sky of LMFAO by her side, Mahogany is nothing but ready to take the world by storm.
Only 20 years old, the singer, actor, DJ, and social media star, has all the keys to superstardom and CelebSecrets4U caught up with Lox to chat all things music, touring, and what really got her started!

CS4U: Tell me a little bit about your background. Your grandfather is the infamous Barry Gordy and your brother is one part of the duo LMFAO. Has seeing their success helped sculpt you into the artist you are today?
Mahogany: “Absolutely. My whole family has inspired me and made me who I am. With my brother, he gave me a gift, I think it was for Christmas and he said you either get a backpack or DJ equipment; So I thought about it and said you know I’ll just get the DJ equipment, see where it takes me and I got it, became a DJ and that’s how I’m here right now.”
CS4U: Who would you say is an inspiration for your music?
Mahogany: “Definitely Mariah Carey, LMFAO, Beyonce, The Spice Girls. I like a lot of 90s- like 90s groups. My songs are very 90s inspired.”
CS4U: If you could describe your music in three words what would they be?
Mahogany: “Hot sassy and sparkly.”
CS4U: Your debut single is entitled BOOM, can you tell us what went into the making of this single?
Mahogany: “Well, it started off with me and my brother in the studio. I was going through my lyric book and I found just a line on a sheet of paper, and I read it to my brother and was like is this okay? Do you like this? I don’t really share my lyrics with anybody and he was like ‘oh that’s kinda dope’ so we started making something and BOOM happened.”
CS4U: What can we expect to see from you in the future?
Mahogany: “Well, I’m going on tour so I’m going to be performing a lot and I’m working on some new music so that’s exciting!”
CS4U: Since our website is called CelebSecrets4U, is there a secret or a hidden talent you have that you can share with our readers?
Mahogany: “Hmm, a good one? It’s not really a secret though. When I was younger I was the only girl on my teeball team and I thought that was pretty cool. I really enjoy sports, I love playing sports.”
