Exclusive: Sheryl Crow & Florida Georgia Line Announce the 47th Annual CMA Awards Nominees (Video)

SHERYL CROW, BRIAN KELLEY, TYLER HUBBARDCountry superstar Sheryl Crow and duo Florida Georgia Line announced the nominees for the 47th Annual CMA Awards at the Best Buy Theater on Tuesday morning (September 10th) in New York City.

Florida Georgia Line scored nominations in four different categories this year including Vocal Duo; New Artist of the Year; Single of the Year for “Cruise”; and Musical Event of the Year with Nelly for the remix of “Cruise.” This is the band’s first time being nominated by the Country Music Association.

Before Sheryl and Florida Georgia Line announced the nominees, the students of the Hector Fontanez School, P.S. 103, put on a special performance for a selected amount of press and VIPs at the conference.

Sheryl Crow‘s latest album, Feels Like Home dropped today on iTunes and at music retailers nationwide. Just recently, Sheryl and Southern Living Magazine celebrated the album release by inviting an intimate group of friends and fans to Sheryl‘s farm in Nashville. On Sheryl‘s farm, the special guests were treated to a preview of the new record.

Just before heading to the Best Buy Theater, both musical acts announced the nominees LIVE on Good Morning America.

The 47th Annual CMA Awards air LIVE from the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville on November 6th 2013 at 8PM ET/PT on ABC.
