Fast & Furious 7 Takes Over Universal CityWalk Hollywood – Get the Scoop! (@CityWalkLA)

Screen Shot 2015-04-05 at 8.28.19 PMIn honor of Universal’s newest film  Fast & Furious 7,  Universal Studios Hollywood hosted a special Furious 7 Takeover event held at Universal CityWalk on Thursday evening (April 2) in Los Angeles.

The takeover included advanced screenings of the film for super fans who could not contain their excitement for Furious 7 and needed to see it a day early! A Fast & Furious marathon was also showing at the AMC theaters for a few days, where the previous 6 movies were shown all leading up to the final installment.

The Furious 7 takeover also had three cars from the film on display! Vin Diesel’s car along with the Subaru WRX forza that Brian O’Conner, played by the late Paul Walker, drove in the movie. Also on display was the grey 1967 Camaro that Roman Pearce, played by Tyrese Gibson, drove through some scenes. Fans huddled around each car in attempt to get the perfect selfie!

We were able to go inside the theater, where original clothing was on display for the fans to see. One outfit included Dom Toretto’s (played by Vin Diesel) black leather jacket that was featured in the film’s previews. Luke Hobbs’ (Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson) green bullet proof vest was also showcased in the theater, which was one of our personal favorites to see!

Outside the theater, CityWalk’s 5 Towers stage held a special DJ party and spun songs from the film series’ entire music library, including new sounds form the Furious 7 soundtrack. Fans were also asked trivia questions from all six movies to see who knew about Fast & Furious the most!

ICYMI, Universal Studios Hollywood will be unveiling their newest ride Fast & Furious — Supercharged on Thursday, June 25. The ride is the newest installment to the dynamic films and reunites the stars from the Fast & Furious series.

Fast & Furious 7 is now playing in theaters nationwide.
