Fifth Harmony’s debut EP, Better Together [Epic Records/Syco Music], arrives in stores and via all digital retailers today. Featuring five brand new songs including the smash hit “Miss Movin’ On”, it’s a diverse, dynamic, and delightful introduction to America’s only teen pop female vocal group.
These five young ladies will be warming hearts with a bevy of national television appearances. Last night, they performed on Arsenio and, this morning, they celebrated the EP release with a performance on LIVE with Kelly and Michael. That’s followed by VH1’s Big Morning Buzz Live With Carrie Keagan on Wednesday October 23. They’ll cap the week off by hitting the stage at the Hub Network’s First Annual HalloweenBash—broadcasting live on the Hub Network Saturday October 26 at 8pm ET/5pm PT. It’s the very first national awards show where viewers are the nominees, and the girls have some surprises in store for audiences.
In other news, Fifth Harmony joins an exclusive list of esteemed artists who have been featured as part of VEVO’s LIFT campaign. However, they’re the first group to have been actually chosen by fans. Due to overwhelming support, they were voted as the next LIFT artist, surpassing Cassadee Pope and Zedd. As a result, the world’s leading all-premium music video and entertainment platform, VEVO gives “harmonizers” the opportunity to watch exclusive music video premieres, interviews, and behind-the-scenes footage through a dedicated page promoted throughout all of VEVO’s apps and web platform. It launches in early November and will run through the New Year.
Press is head over heels for Fifth Harmony. They’ve been featured prominently in Billboard, News Day, Daily News, and more. MTV.com also exclusively premiered the EP, and the girls will appear on MTV Livestream release day for a performance.
Better Together also includes the immediately irresistible sisterly anthem, “Me & My Girls”, which has racked up over 4 million YouTube/VEVO views in less than a month. Across the EP, the quintet trades verses with style, savvy, and spirit, yielding the likes of the kinetic “Don’t Wanna Dance Alone” and the passionate “Leave My Heart Out of This”.
Fifth Harmony has quickly become one of the most-talked about acts in pop music. After debuting “Miss Movin’ On” live on The Today Show, the program received more tweets about this concert than any other performance all summer. The music video has surpassed 13 million views mark on YouTube/VEVO, while the song reached #25 on Top 40 Radio, and is continuing to gain steam. They’ve been handpicked to be a part of Disney’s “Next Big Thing” Campaign, MTV & Pop Tarts “Crazy Good VMA Concert”, and a performance on AllAccess.MTV.comprior to their VMA red carpet debut. Cumulatively, they have 70 million total YouTube views, 625,000-plus Facebook “likes”, and over 863,000 Twitter followers.
