Alli Simpson will not only be hosting The Alli Simpson Show for a second season. This 17 year old has also taking on a larger role with Radio Disney. Simpson is now Radio Disney’s Youth Engagement Officer; through this role she will help to ensure that the voices of today’s youth is heard by Radio Disney and valued to the fullest throughout all of their platforms. In regards to her new position, Simpson said:
“I’m truly honored to be named Radio Disney’s ‘Youth Engagement Officer’ as it allows me to weigh in on the conversations that today’s youth are having. Radio Disney is the voice of the upcoming generation and to be a part of that team is really exciting.”
In addition to being renewed for a second season, The Alli Simpson Show will be extended to become a three hour block on Fridays from 7:00–10:00 PM PST. Some of the show’s upcoming guests include James Bay (February 5), BØRNS, YouTube sensation Lauren Elizabeth, The Vamps and more. Gigi Hadid had a lot to say in regards to Simpson’s radio show and hosting abilities. Hadid said:
“Alli is able to connect with everyone she meets thanks to her genuine warmth and charisma: that is very clear not only while being interviewed by her, but also when listening to her on-air. She’s an incredible & relatable voice for the young generation to be listening to and she will no doubt grow with her audience. I wouldn’t be surprised if Alli becomes a household-name radio/tv host.”
Simpson is the youngest nationally syndicated radio host to ever reach over 20 million listeners a week and has interviewed some of the biggest names in entertainment. You can listen to The Alli Simpson Show Friday evenings at 7:00pm PST on Radio Disney.
