Grace Potter & the Nocturnals Announce 2nd Leg of The Roar Tour (@gracepotter)

Grace Potter & The Nocturnals have announced the second leg of their “Roar Tour,” a U.S. headlining run that’s seen them tearing through packed houses across the country. (Full itinerary below.)

The “Roar Tour” follows a summer in which the Vermont-based GPN rocked stadiums nationwide as openers on the Brothers of The Sun Tour, which featured multiplatinum superstars Kenny Chesney and Tim McGraw.

Grace and the group are taking the fan/band bond further by compiling each night’s set list based on song requests that are coming in via Twitter. Adds Grace, “It’s great because it’s never the same show twice and that’s exciting.” Fans can submit their suggestions via twitter.com/gracepotter and use the tag #GPNsetlists.

The shows have been generating rave reviews from fans and critics alike. Following a recent sold-out gig at the Fox Theater in Oakland, SF Weekly wrote, “There may be no better front-man or woman in pop music today. Grace Potter & The Nocturnals are badass defined.” The Deseret News lauded the band for “firing on all cylinders” and Tulsa World marveled at the crowd’s reaction to Grace, writing, “the audience became unglued as it screamed, danced and pressed forward toward the stage. The five-piece band rocked everything from poppy blues ballads to balls-out blasts of guitar-driven revivalist rock.”Rolling Stone recently posted a photo essay capturing the band’s electrifying set at The Wiltern in Los Angeles, which can be seen athttp://www.rollingstone.com/music/pictures/grace-potter-and-the-nocturnals-cast-a-spell-in-los-angeles-20121107 .

Grace Potter & the Nocturnals are touring in support of their new single “Stars” and their fourth studio album, THE LION  THE BEAST  THE BEAT, which debuted on the Billboard Top 200 Chart at #17 and #10 on Billboard’s Digital Album chart.
