Green Day and twenty one pilots Will Perform at the 2016 American Music Awards

Green Day and twenty one pilots will perform at the 2016 American Music Awards, Celeb Secrets can confirm.

The news was announced by dick clark productions and ABC this morning, stating that it will be Green Day‘s second AMA performance (first was in 2009 when they performed their critically-acclaimed song “21 Guns”) and twenty one pilots‘ first.

Green Day, who just released their 12th studio and third No. 1 album Revolution Radio, are three-time American Music Award winners and 10-time American Music Award nominees. twenty one pilots are first-time AMA nominees in the categories Favorite Duo or Group – Pop/Rock, Favorite Artist – Alternative Rock and Artist of the Year this year.

Both groups join previously announced performers Lady Gaga, Bruno Mars and “The American Music Award of Merit” honoree and performer Sting. 

The 2016 American Music Awards will air live from Los Angeles’ Microsoft Theater on Sunday, November 20th @ 8PM ET/PT on ABC.
