This is B-A-N-A-N-A-S! Gwen Stefani debuts at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 albums chart with her new album This Is What the Truth Feels Like for the first time as a solo artist.
Stefani becomes one of five female artists with chart-topping album as part of group and then as solo artist. The No Doubt singer hasn’t released a solo album since 2006 with The Sweet Escape, which debuted and peaked at No. 3. According to Nielsen Music, This Is What the Truth Feels Like sold 84,000 units within its first week.
After Stefani’s split from husband Gavin Rossdale in summer 2015, she wrote her most personal album yet. There was definitely some inspiration from her romance with country star Blake Shelton. The album features her hit singles “Used to Love You” and “Make Me Like You”.
Pop Icon Gwen Stefani is no stranger to toping charts but will remember this week forever.
