Following the huge viral success of the Extra® gum commercial, “The Story of Sarah & Juan,” featuring singer/songwriter Haley Reinhart’s intimate cover of the Elvis Presley classic “Can’t Help Falling in Love,” the official full-length music video has dropped today!

Recorded with pianist Casey Abrams, the song has only been out for one month and has already sold 46,000 units, amassed 3.2 million streams on Spotify, and is #1 on Spotify’s Global viral chart. The video was lensed by director Daniel Ryan from creative agency Energy BBDO.

Her ardent “Haliens” have come out strong to support the song through social media. The TV ad campaign for Extra gum has over 86 million views via Facebook and over 12 million views on YouTube. The track is the lead synch in a major television placement secured by ole, the world’s fastest growing independent rights management company, and its artist development program red dot.

As part of Extra gum’s “Give Extra, get extra™” campaign, “The Story of Sarah & Juan” tells the love story of two young adults who experience small yet meaningful moments through sharing Extra gum. In the spot, Juan illustrates his and Sarah’s small moments of connection on the wrappers from the Extra gum they have shared, and the illustrations come together to show their love story and create a big moment in their relationship. This brings to life “Give Extra, get extra,” the idea that small moments of sharing and human connection can lead to something meaningful.

Reinhart is currently in the studio putting the finishing touches on her new EP of original material, available early spring 2016 via red dot.

Reinhart has also been keeping busy on the road touring with jazz-pop viral sensations Scott Bradlee’s Postmodern Jukebox, with whom she previously recorded a hit cover of Radiohead’s “Creep” as well as Britney Spears’ “Oops!…I Did It Again,” The Cardigans’ “Lovefool,” The White Stripes’ “Seven Nation Army,” and Tove Lo’s “Habits.”
